Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vendscale LLC (“VendScale”, “we”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the VendScale website, the app, and our public request form.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we can't see them.
• Business details you add: company name, your name, phone, email, home city and state, and the ZIP codes you serve.
• What you do in the app: scans you run, phone numbers you reveal, your pipeline, notes, follow-up dates, roadmap progress and feedback you send.
• Billing: your plan and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
• Identity check: before you reveal phone numbers or bid, Stripe Identity checks a photo of your ID and a selfie. Stripe collects and keeps those images under its own privacy policy; we only receive whether the check passed.
• Request form submissions: if you ask for a machine, your business name, type, size, ZIP code, your name, email, phone and any notes.
• Technical data: basic logs our hosting providers keep, like IP addresses and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.

Business listings

Location results show public information about businesses, such as names, addresses, websites and published phone numbers, from open map data (Overture Maps Foundation, including OpenStreetMap). If you run a business and want its listing corrected or removed from VendScale, email us.

How we use it

• to run the Service: show your results, fill your details into scripts and documents, and keep your pipeline;
• to bill you and manage your plan;
• to pass a machine request to the local operator who wins it at auction;
• to answer support requests and feedback, and to fix and improve the Service; and
• to keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run parts of VendScale for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments and identity checks) and our website hosting provider. They can only use your information to provide their service to us.
• Vending operators, if you submit a machine request. Your details go only to the operator who wins your request. Other operators see the type of business, its size, ZIP code and any notes you add, never your name or contact details.
• Google Maps, only if you choose to open a drive loop in Google Maps. That sends the route's coordinates to Google under Google's own privacy policy.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or VendScale.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and one cookie that remembers if you skipped the welcome setup. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Machine requests are kept until they're placed or no longer active, then deleted on request.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your business details in My Business at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing info@vendscale.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under state privacy laws; we'll honour them as the law requires.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls that keep each account's data separate, and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

VendScale is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect children's information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
