Terms of Service

Last updated September 24, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Vendscale LLC (“VendScale”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the VendScale website and app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you can.

1. The Service

VendScale helps vending operators find and work locations: scored location lists, drive loops, phone reveals, a pipeline, scripts, calculators, document templates and summaries of state rules. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and use the Service for business purposes.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • We may ask each person on an account to verify their identity with a photo ID and selfie, through our provider Stripe, before revealing phone numbers, bidding or inviting teammates.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Plans, billing and reveals

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • New accounts start with a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan that includes 10 phone reveals. No card is needed. When the trial ends, the account pauses until you choose a plan.
  • You can cancel any time from Plan & Billing. Cancelling ends your plan and access right away, and we refund the unused part of the current billing period to your original payment method. Your data is kept so you can pick up where you left off if you subscribe again.
  • Plans differ in what they include, such as scan radius, pipeline size, team seats and marketplace access. The current details are on our pricing page and in Plan & Billing. If you move to a smaller plan, features it doesn't include stop working, but your data is kept.
  • Each plan includes a number of phone reveals per month. Reveals reset on the 1st of each month. On the Operator plan, reveals left unused at the end of a month carry over to the next month only, up to one month's allowance, if you were on Operator for that whole month. On other plans unused reveals don't carry over. A reveal is used when a phone number is unlocked, even if the number turns out to be wrong.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect on your plan.

4. Contacting businesses

When you call, text or email the businesses you find through VendScale, you're responsible for following the laws that apply, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the National Do Not Call Registry and state equivalents, and the CAN-SPAM Act. Respect requests not to be contacted again.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, publish or share location data or revealed phone numbers outside your own vending business;
  • scrape, bulk-download or automate access to the Service beyond its normal features;
  • share your account with people outside your business;
  • interfere with the Service or try to get around usage limits or security; or
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing.

6. Estimates, templates and legal summaries

Scores, headcounts and revenue figures are estimates for planning, not promises. Location data can be out of date or wrong, and some places will already have a machine. Always visit a location before committing to it.

The placement agreement and scope of work are starting templates, and the vending law pages summarise public sources as of the date shown. Neither is legal, tax or financial advice. Check with a lawyer, accountant or the agency concerned before relying on them.

7. Lead marketplace

Businesses can ask for a machine through our public request form. Each request is sold by open auction to operators near it. Auctions start at $100, run for 72 hours, and extend by 10 minutes when a bid comes in during the last 10 minutes.

  • Bidding is available on the Pro and Operator plans. Operator members can bid as soon as a request is posted; it opens to Pro members 24 hours later.
  • You can bid only on requests within your plan's bidding area around the ZIP codes you serve (20 miles on Pro, 50 miles on Operator), and hold a limited number of leads at once (2 on Pro, 5 on Operator), counting won leads not yet placed and auctions you're winning.
  • Won leads are for placing your own machines. If a won lead isn't marked placed within 30 days, bidding pauses until it is. Reselling or passing on leads breaks these terms and can lead to account suspension.
  • A bid is a binding offer to pay that amount if you win. You need a card on file to bid.
  • When an auction closes, the highest bidder's card is charged automatically. If that charge fails, the lead goes to the next-highest bidder.
  • The winner gets the business's name and contact details. Other bidders don't.
  • Payments for won leads are final, except that if a lead's contact details turn out to be fake or unreachable, you can ask us within 7 days to review it for a refund.
  • We may pause, extend or remove any auction, for example to stop spam or abuse.

Operators and businesses deal with each other directly. We aren't a party to any agreement between them and don't guarantee that any lead leads to a placement.

8. Your content

You own what you put into VendScale, like pipeline notes and business details. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the Service for you. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Our property and data sources

The Service, its design and its software belong to VendScale. Location data includes data from the Overture Maps Foundation, which includes data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under their open data licenses.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service and cancel any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or don't pay, and will try to warn you first where we reasonably can.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its data is accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, VendScale isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover VendScale's reasonable costs from claims brought by others because of how you used the Service, including how you contacted businesses.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
